On April 24, 2025, a seminar was held for the teaching staff of the Kyrgyz-Chinese Institute in auditorium No. 221 of Academic Building No. 4, dedicated to the use of scientometric databases Scopus, Google Scholar and RSCI.
The head of the department of science and postgraduate professional education, Tynaliev Urmat Melisovich, made a welcoming speech. He emphasized the importance of the correct and effective use of tools for assessing scientific activity. In turn, the director of the institute, Apaeva Sofya Khuseynovna, expressed gratitude and noted that the introduction of incentive payments for articles indexed in the Scopus and Web of Science databases led to an increase in publication activity among young scientists of the institute.
During the seminar, the head of the scientometric analysis department A.K. Shaiyldaeva, chief specialist U. Zholdoshali kyzy and leading specialist T. Ishenaliev presented an overview of the capabilities of key scientometric platforms, talked about the registration rules, features of indexing publications, and also answered questions from participants on the practical application of these resources in scientific work.
