About the center
The Digital Skills Center is a platform for those who strive to be at the forefront of digital innovation. We combine education, science, and technology to help each participant unlock their potential in a world of digital transformation.
The Digital Skills Educational and Research Center for Digital Technologies is a division of the Institute of Computer Technologies and Artificial Intelligence. The center conducts educational, research, and innovative activities in the field of digital technologies and artificial intelligence, guided by the laws of the Kyrgyz Republic, the university charter, and internal regulations.
Our goals
- Developing digital competencies among students, faculty, and staff of the Institute.
- Conducting cutting-edge scientific research in the field of digital technologies and artificial intelligence.
- Implementation of modern digital solutions in the educational process.
Main tasks
- Development and implementation of educational programs, courses, and trainings on digital technologies.
- Organizing hackathons, championships, and other events to develop practical skills.

General Provisions
The Digital Skills Educational and Research Center for Digital Technologies (hereinafter referred to as the Center) is a subdivision of the Institute of Computer Technologies and Artificial Intelligence (hereinafter referred to as the Institute). The Center conducts educational, research, and innovative activities in the field of digital technologies and artificial intelligence. In its activities, the Center is guided by the laws of the Kyrgyz Republic, the University Charter, and these Regulations.
The main objectives of the Center are:
- Developing digital competencies of students, faculty, and staff of the Institute.
- Conducting scientific research in the field of digital technologies and artificial intelligence.
- Implementation of modern digital solutions in the educational process.
- To achieve its goals, the Center solves the following tasks:
- Developing and delivering educational programs, courses, and trainings, as well as organizing championships and hackathons in the field of digital technologies.
- Conducting scientific research and applied work.
- Development and implementation of digital tools and educational platforms.
- Organization of events (conferences, seminars, championships, hackathons) in the field of digital technologies.
The Center is managed by the Deputy Director for Science, Educational Programs and Digital Technologies, appointed by the Director of the Institute.
The Center may include research staff, teachers, graduate students and students.
The activities of the Center are coordinated by the Scientific Council of the Institute, consisting of leading specialists.
Educational activities: development and delivery of courses, organization and implementation of advanced training and professional retraining programs.
The introduction of modern information and communication technologies into the educational process, including distance learning technologies and e-learning.
Information and methodological support for educational programs and teaching staff participating in innovative programs and projects.
Scientific activity: implementation of research projects, participation in grant programs.
Participation in research conducted by other departments of the institute that have related issues requiring the integration of the scientific potential of employees.
Exchange of experience at scientific and practical conferences and seminars at various levels, including national and international.
Innovative activities: development of digital solution prototypes, collaboration with industrial partners.
International cooperation: participation in international projects and programs.
The Center is financed by extra-budgetary funds, including grants, sponsorship support, and paid educational services.
The center has the necessary material and technical resources, including laboratories, server capacity, and software.
This Regulation shall enter into force upon its approval.
Changes and additions to the Regulations are made on the basis of decisions of the Institute’s management.
Location: Institute of Computer Technologies and Artificial Intelligence of the Zhusup Balasagyn KNU, building No. 1, Frunze Street 547, Bishkek.

Institute of Computer Technologies and Artificial Intelligence 2024-2026 research projects
The Institute of Computer Technologies and Artificial Intelligence conducts fundamental and applied research in the fields of education and artificial intelligence. The research is conducted under grant projects from the Ministry of Education and Science. Currently, the institute is implementing five research projects:
